Meet the staff of Warren Dental Office, Dr. Apsey DDS

Dr. Apsey: Hi, I’m Dr. Greg Apsey and I’m here in Warren, Michigan. I’ve been here at this location for about 12 years. I just wanted to kind of introduce you to the wonderful people that I work with. 3 of them are here with me this morning. Natasha, Lindsey, and Heidi. I’ve been working with 2 of them, Natasha and Lindsey, for 20 years. This year, it’s been 20 years.

We’ve really created a very nice family practice, and actually, it feels like family here. I’ve been with these people for so long. I know them so well. It’s almost like, like I said, we’re family. And we like to treat our patients the same way. We like to really get to know them. We like to take time with our patients. Give them all their options of treatment, and really let them make an informed choice. But I couldn’t do it without excellent people like Natasha. Let’s go and say hi to Natasha.

Dr. Apsey: Hi Natasha.

Dental Assistant: Hi Dr. Apsey.

Dr. Apsey: How are you this morning?

Dental Assistant: Great, as usual.

Dr. Apsey: Nice to see you up and smiling and happy in the morning

Dental Assistant: Yes.

Dr. Apsey: So how long have we been together?

Dental Assistant: 20 years, 3 months and 5 days

Dr. Apsey: Wow, you’ve got a good count there. You know, I was just saying that I really couldn’t do this job, the work that we do for our patients without such good help that I get from you. So I just want to thank you for your hard work. And for always being here on time. And caring so much. What are the things you like about this office?

Dental Assistant: Service the patients. I mean, your service, your job for patients. And very high professional. And very nice patients. It’s very nice seeing you working with patients. Good job.

Dr. Apsey: Aw.

Dental Assistant: When they start to smile again and thank you for your job.

Dr. Apsey: They do that sometimes. That’s a really good time. But in between, you are here working hard making sure the instruments are clean and the surfaces are all clean so it’s a safe place for people too. I mean, thanks Natasha.

Dental Assistant: You’re welcome.

Dr. Apsey: It’s been a real pleasure working with you. Alright

Dr. Apsey: Let’s go say hi to Lindsey.

Dr. Apsey: Good morning, Lindsey.

Dental Assistant: Good morning.

Dr. Apsey: How are you today?

Dental Assistant: Good. How are you?

Dr. Apsey: Fine. This is the lovely lady that you’ll see every time you come into our office, she’s the one that answers the phone most of the time. Sometimes it’s me or somebody else but usually it’s Lindsay. So have long have you been working here?

Dental Assistant: It’ll be 20 years next month.

Dr. Apsey: Your big day is coming up.

Dental Assistant: A long time, yeah.

Dr. Apsey: Yeah Lindsay services our patients very well, she’s the one that, you’ve got to figure out all the details about the insurance and maybe you can say a little bit about discount dental.

Dental Assistant: It’s a real good plan for people that don’t have insurance. Dr. Greg has made up a great helpful product for people that need to come in and get their teeth taken care of. It’s a discount plan for in the office. And it includes 2 cleanings, 2 exams and your x-rays for $175. Which, usually that 1 will cost you $175. And then if you need treatment done, it’s a 20 percent discount.

Dr. Apsey: Yeah. Oh it’s a great plan. There’s a lot of people that signed up for it.

Dental Assistant: Uh-hm.

Dr. Apsey: It’s been working really well.

Dental Assistant: Really well.

Dr. Apsey: You know a lot of people lost insurance and a lot of people are struggling and we’re just trying to help the community out in that way. And I would say probably 20% of our practice is now.

Dental Assistant: Is on that plan.

Dr. Apsey: Is on that plan.

Dental Assistant: Yep.

Dr. Apsey: It’s really working.

Dental Assistant: Very good plan.

Dr. Apsey: So just ask us about it next time you call and but also you know, if you have any questions about your insurance you can just give a call. Lindsay can give you all the details you need. She’s real good about that, and about finding out what insurance pays, and all that sort of thing.

Dental Assistant: Yeah. Just give me a call.

Dr. Apsey: Hi Heidi.

Dental Assistant: How are you?

Dr. Apsey: Fine how are you this morning?

Dental Assistant: Good, just busy working. Cleaning teeth.

Dr. Apsey: Sorry to interrupt. Just wanted to see if you could say a few words about, about our office.

Dental Assistant: Sure. Sure.

Dr. Apsey: Yeah, we’ve been together for quite some time now.

Dental Assistant: Yeah.

Dr. Apsey: It’s been.

Dental Assistant: ’07. So, how many years that is.

Dr. Apsey: Oh, that’s better. I can see you’re better with your mask off. How do you have such a nice smile? So, what I like about Heidi and Sheryl, and Becky, our hygienists, is that they really focus on being gentle and being thorough with our patients. What do you think?

Heidi pretty good, you like Heidi?

I mean, part of dental care is good quality dental care is is for people to come in regularly and to be comfortable coming and having their teeth cleaned and examined so their problems can be taken care of early. Well, you gotta have a nice hygienist for that to work out. So we’re just so happy that we’ve had people that have been with us for many years,

Dental Assistant: Mm-hum.

Dr. Apsey: And, we’ve got different personalities, so, you know, some people like Heidi, some people like to be with Cheryl. Some like to be with Becky. That’s why we like to have different hygienists and just Heidi is awesome. People say we want Heidi. Yeah she’s got 2 kids and she’s just a sweetheart. We just really like having here here so.
